Clare Bernard brings specialized experience from data analytics and machine learning, with management experience across product and engineering. Clare joined Armored Things from Tamr, a leading enterprise data analytics software company, where she was Head of Product & Engineering. She joined in 2014 and led strategy and development of their data platform. Clare has a BS in Physics & Mathematics from Johns Hopkins, as well as a PhD in Particle Physics from Boston University, where she was part of the influential team at CERN credited with the discovery of the Higgs-boson particle, otherwise known as the “God particle.”
Clare is "Very excited to be joining the talented team at Armored Things," and believes "the problem that we're focused on is much too relevant in today's world and the solution requires the integrated expertise we've put together across physical security, cybersecurity and data science." She is also "personally invested" in the company's mission: "it's vitally important that children are safe in our schools and that our communities have a greater sense of security."
President Julie Johnson welcomes Clare to the team: “We are thrilled to add Clare Bernard to our executive team. She is highly respected by peers and colleagues as an expert in solving complex technical challenges involving data at scale. Our customer engagements will involve data across millions of endpoints, which Clare can help us harness through the Armored Things platform to keep people safer on large campuses.”
