Congressman John Curtis (UT-03) will serve as the host and moderator of a School Safety Summit. The event will take place on Monday, April 23, at Edgemont Elementary School in Provo at 3pm. The summit will bring together local leaders that are using innovative methods to bring forward solutions that keep our children safe at school. State and local law enforcement leaders, school administration officials, and several state legislators are confirmed to be in attendance.
Elizabeth Carter, Chief Security Officer, will be speaking on a panel at the School Safety Forum in Provo, UT, hosted by Congressman John Curtis. Carter will provide best practices for active threat safety and response and discuss how technology can be used in emergencies to respond more quickly and effectively.
Elizabeth will be speaking alongside Dr. Keith Rittel, the Superintendent of Provo, Greg Hudnell, Executive Director of HOPE4UTAH, Rep. Steve Eliason (R-UT), and Bill Provenchal, head of the Range Growth Association. The panel will be moderated by Rep. Curtis.
